Here at the Liberty Loft, our thoughts, prayers, and compassion go out to the victims and their families of Thursday’s Shooting.
On Thursday, just before 7:30 AM (PST), a 15-year-old, non-white student at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita, California, went on a shooting rampage that left two of his fellow students dead, and several other children critically injured. By 8:00 AM, members of the Left took to news outlets and all across social media, calling for attacks against the gun and ammo industries, and labeling the National Rifle Association again as a domestic terrorist organization. The pandering phrase of “We Must Act…” ran rampant across all media platforms.
Elizbeth Warren tweeted:
I’m heartsick for the victims of this horrifying shooting and their families. We shouldn’t have to live like this. Students shouldn’t live in fear when they go to school.
We must act now to end gun violence. https://t.co/w7QSrSC9n6

Bernie Sanders tweeted:
This must end. Children in America should not live in fear for their lives at school or anywhere else. We have a moral obligation to say: children’s lives are more important than gun manufacturers’ profits. We must pass common sense gun safety legislation. https://t.co/vTY0RleNKJ

But the Oscar goes to….Kamala Harris.
We’re traumatizing kids across our nation by failing to act to end gun violence. pic.twitter.com/JMWrg9SSKD

Senator Harris, in her typical “look at me, hey you with the camera” fashion, holds the hands of what appears to be a student at Saugus High; pleading with the young girl to know that “she is not alone; that the fight is against those who lack courage?” Well, Senator Harris, who would that be? I would submit that Harris, as is par for her course, would be labeling the Republican Party, members of the NRA, and the over 30% of American gun owners as those who lack courage. Well, let me tell you my little “Pandering Princess, Kamala”; courage is to stand tall against those who wish to infringe upon the rights granted in ABSOLUTE CLARITY by our nation’s constitution.
Unlike the tragedies of this summer, the firearm used in Thursday’s shootings was not an AK or AR-style assault rifle; instead, a .45 caliber handgun. You see, this is where the insanity ensues. For a generation, members of the radical-Left, have painted a picture that all shootings are at the hands of white (today Trumpers) nationalists, standing behind the barrel of semi-automatic assault rifles with 100-round magazines. Let us not forget that Thursday’s shooter was of Asian descent, toting a pistol in the state with the strictest gun regulations in the country.
So, what should this tell us?
It isn’t the Republicans that have failed in protecting our nation’s children; instead, the Democratic “know-it-alls” that believe that their “strong central government” and tight, infringing laws will somehow make people “good.” Today’s Liberals lack understanding – either they lack the intelligence, or don’t give a rodent’s rectum. Since Creation, evil has existed in the world. Unfortunately, hatred and mental diseases are real problems and issues. To the Left, these are issues that are taught in the Nazi-laden basements and cross-burning hayfields of America. None of these Lunatic Lefties can fathom that some people are just born bad. Oddly enough, they believe that someone can be born gay, but not evil.
So, who yet again is in the “crosshairs” in the wake of today’s tragic shooting? You guessed it, the NRA, and any American citizen or politician that believes in the right to keep and bear arms. Now, to our readers, please do not underestimate the importance of protecting the lives of our nation’s children, and the duty we have as a nation to ensure that our country’s communities are free of violence. However, when the smoke has cleared from the hallways of Santa Clarita, the facts remain thus; a 15-year-old was filled with so much hatred that he took the lives of two of his fellow students and attempted to take his own life. He devalued his life and that of others so much that he was willing to wipe innocent lives from the face of the earth senselessly. Now I ask you, at 15 years of age, should this not scare us as a nation?
My grandfather used to use a saying when growing up and teaching us grandkids about hunting and target shooting. Joe Wright used to say, “boy, it is the Indian, not the arrow.” This simple saying was to illustrate that it wasn’t the gun that made you miss the target, rather me and my trembling hands or lack of sight. As a nation attempting to look at today’s gun violence, it isn’t the arrow, gun, knife or bomb that is the issue. Instead, the Indian (and no I’m not talking about Senator Warren), the individual behind the weapon being used that lacks love, compassion, and respect; so much so that he or she would attempt to take the life of another. Perhaps as a nation, if we focused on the shooter (The Indian) rather than the weapon (The Arrow), the targets would begin to disappear?
