Charlotte, NC — On Wednesday, Joe Biden took part in a virtual town hall where he made pointed comments about President Trump. Of course, that is not surprising. What he said is surprising, however, given the push of the left amid the Black Lives Matter movement.
Biden said that President Trump was the first racist to win the presidency. In his statements, Biden said, “The way he deals with people based on the color of their skin, their national origin, where they’re from, is absolutely sickening.” He continued saying, “No sitting president has ever done this. Never, never, never. No Republican president has done this. No Democratic president. We’ve had racists, and they’ve existed, that tried to get elected president; he’s the first one that has.”
The comments by Biden leave me somewhat confused given events over the past several months. We have all witnessed the destruction and vandalism of historical monuments to our founding fathers. Those include George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and many others who also held the office of President.
The media has been on an all-out assault, in a coordinated attack with Black Lives Matter. The accusation is consistent; America’s founding fathers and all of our history is founded on racism. Every day the narrative has been the same.
So is Biden suggesting that those men were not racist? Because he suggested otherwise back on July 4th in his comments on Twitter. He specifically addressed the slavery of Thomas Jefferson and how we have “never lived up to the standard” that we claim in our founding documents.
So is this simply a case of Joe Biden forgetting his American history, or is it a case that Joe Biden can’t keep his story straight? Either way, Biden’s statement completely contradicts the demands of the Black Lives Matter movement. They insist that every aspect of America was built on racism.
The left has called on nearly all monuments to be torn down due to our “racist past.” The writers call Jefferson and Washington racist in that article. Then we have them calling for the destruction of monuments based on their creators being racist. Here’s one calling for Mount Rushmore to be destroyed. Others have called for the removal of other monuments around DC and the country.
These monuments should be safe, though. Biden says that Trump is the first racist. So if the rest of the country was not built on racism or oppression, they are ok to remain, right?
We all know that the left will not stop until all parts of history are eliminated. Even the House took the step to remove US history from its halls on Wednesday.
In all honesty, Biden has no clue what he is saying. He continues to say what he is told to say, but he continues to mess up his talking points. He has said before that Trump has been promoting slavery, but that he did not invent it. That would give the impression that Trump is bringing back something that existed before.
Now, Biden says Trump is the first racist in the White House. The conflicting statements continue to show that Biden does not have the mental acuity to be President. He will say anything for a vote; it just depends on the audience is.
