Albany, N.Y. – New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has issued an order that workers across the state must remain home. In an order that mirrored the California order the day before, Cuomo orders all non-essential workers remain at home. Civil fines and mandatory closures for businesses will be in order according to the announcement.
With the orders in the two states, this means that almost 18% of the US population is under mandatory orders to remain home. Without the ability to work, Americans await Congress to act in regards to relief relating to hardships with coronavirus, or COVID-19.Â
