On Thursday, the USA Today ran an opinion article by Andrea Kendall-Taylor. In the article, Taylor suggests that the Deep State is not what American’s think that it is. She suggests that America needs the deep state. I think it’s worth taking a closer look at the article to learn more.
The author starts by referring to deep state as a conspiracy theory that President Trump has used to distract from impeachment. She states that the actions the President has taken and the opinion of the American people on deep state is dangerous. Her support for these claims? Well, it’s because she states that the CIA is apolitical.
The problem is that the CIA is supposed to be apolitical, but it really isn’t. In this instance, the CIA analyst and reported whistleblower had a direct working relationship with Joe Biden. He worked with DNC operatives to attempt to obtain dirt on Donald Trump. How is this apolitical?
The author continues that the whistleblower was working to mitigate a threat to national security. You and I have read the transcript of the call, did our national security seem at stake? Did Trump sell national secrets and our nations soul for an investigation into the Bidens? That is simply absurd to suggest.
Do I agree that President Trump’s actions are questionable? Yes. It does not look good in the manner in which this happened. Yet, I do not see a crime committed or bribery as Democrats have suggested. It’s just more nonsense of the horrible impeachment inquiry of the Democrats.
In the USA Today article, the argument is also presented that President Trump’s actions are undermining the intelligence community and hurts the community. Then, she argues that the attack on the whistleblower is a threat to our democracy. Is it a threat to our democracy or a threat to the status quo that has plagued America so long?
Statements by many regarding the deep state are in regards to the attempts to control our country by those in power. In the end, there are those involved in this situation that are part of this deep state that are not acting apolitical. For instance, take the whistleblower. He is not acting apolitical, but he gets a pass due to the nature of his job by the author.
The impeachment show has truly turned into a partisan fiasco. Democrats at all levels of government are coming out to help push this agenda, even in the “deep state conspiracy” as the author refers to it. I may not agree with everything President Trump does, but I certainly agree that the swamp needs to be drained.
