Charlotte, NC — Fox News continues to see massive ratings drop from some of their hard news programming. Their behavior has become so bad Tucker Carlson called them out last week. In fact, Newsmax saw an audience of over 1 million people on Thursday night during the 7 o’clock hour while Martha MacCallum’s show “The Story” only pulled in 2 million, falling behind CNN’s Erin Burnett.
The public relations office at Fox is sticking to their story pretending this is normal which is garbage and gaslighting of the highest order. However, the aforementioned Tucker Carlson’s ratings do not change the point that parts of the network are imploding as audiences flee what they see is unfairness and bias.
Unfortunately, Fox’s behavior has not changed in light of all that has occurred. Today, weekend anchor Leland Vittert blew up on a Trump campaign spokeswoman, repeatedly interrupting her, growing visibly angry and becoming increasingly unprofessional and grew visibly angry at her answers.
Here is a sample of this hostile and ridiculous interview:

Vittert grows increasingly agitated and loud badgering his guest, repeatedly interrupting her, refusing to let her answer the questions he has asked. As she attempted to answer the question for the third time, she said that the votes in question will be worked out in a court of law, which is a perfectly reasonable position.
This set off Vittert further, with him turning his head and laughing sarcastically, apparently unable to control himself. He then begins to yell again, unable to grasp the idea that the sheer number of votes in question is irrelevant to whether they were legally cast or not.
Vittert must be auditioning for a gig at CNN or MSNBC. It would be wise for Vittert to remember what he was taught at Northwestern: you get to ask questions, but if you don’t like the answers, go be an opinion host and cry about it.
Stepping on and over you guests and looking like you are about to explode is an awful and unprofessional look that can only be driving more people away from Fox News. Whether Vittert or any of the other anchors at Fox like it or not, the Trump campaign has a legal right to see this through until the electors vote in December. If they believe votes were cast illegally, there is absolutely no reason for them to just shrug and concede.
It’s possible they will lose these lawsuits and possibly sealing the deal they lost the election, but there’s absolutely nothing wrong or harmful pursuing this option. In fact, many people would call it the democratic thing to do. But Fox News is apparently really perturbed that Trump won’t just bow to Biden before the results have been certified.
So what’s driving this? I suppose it could be a desire for access to a possible Biden administration. That seems like a rather long shot given Biden wouldn’t even give their network at interview throughout the entirety of the campaign. Yet, we now see Fox News laying prostrate in hopes of gaining repentance, I guess.
Fox News is an independent news organization and can do what they wish. I don’t relish the thought of saying bad things about the network, but this is getting ridiculous. If they wish to keep spitting on their audience and mimicking CNN, they will simply lose to them and MSNBC.
Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, and Laura Ingraham can only save them for so long. Perhaps they were waiting on this result on election night. After all, Fox News did hire Joe Biden’s former Chief of Staff, Danny O’Brien as their top lobbyist. An unusual and atypical hire where the company and the Trump administration were close despite all the adversity the Trump administration has faced since 2015.
