Washington, D.C. – A newly released internal document shows what the Trump administration is expecting in the coming months as part of the coronavirus pandemic. The document was first reported by The NY Times.
In the document, the death toll is expected to rise from 1,750 daily deaths to approximately 3,000 daily deaths by June 1. New cases of the virus are expected to increase from 25,000 daily to approximately 200,000 daily. But before you blow off this data, there is more that is interesting.
The CDC admits that the stay orders that were implemented did not stop the spread of the virus as expected. On Sunday, one former Trump official, Scott Gottlieb, said that mitigation didn’t fail, but didn’t do what they had hoped in an interview on CBS. Trump also said that deaths would be expected to top 100,000 on Sunday as well.
A White House spokesperson has said that the new numbers have not been vetted and that the release was not an official release. Stay tuned to The Liberty Loft for the latest developments as this story develops.
