Charlotte, NC – On Thursday, the Justice Department dropped its case against first Trump National Security advisor Michael Flynn. Flynn was charged as part of the Mueller Russia probe. The case had long been accused of by President Trump and his supporters of being fixed against Flynn.
A second investigation into the FBI actions revealed that the FBI conducted investigation without basis. It also determined that e-mails were exchanged during the time as to the purpose of the Flynn investigation. The entire situation seems as it was a setup to get Flynn fired. Implicated in the story is also former FBI agent Peter Strozk.
The recommendation to dismiss the case was presented this week by US Attorney Jeff Jensen who was assigned to review the case. The recommendation was made to AG Barr last week and the case was dropped Thursday.
