Sacramento, CA – It comes as no shock that President Donald Trump and the Democratic Vice Presidential nominee, Kamala Harris, don’t exactly get along. However, what most people may not know is that Donald Trump has previously donated money to Kamala Harris’s campaign for Attorney General in California.
Records show that President Trump not only donated once but twice. Once in 2011 and again in 2013. President Trump donated $5,000 to Harris’s campaign in 2011, and then $1,000 to her re-election campaign in 2013 according to California state campaign finance records.
Jon Karl, an ABC News Reporter noted that while Trump pretty much stopped donating to Democrats after 2010, Kamala Harris was one of the last people that he and his daughter, Ivanka Trump kept donating to.

Interesting – @realDonaldTrump basically stopped donating to Democrats after 2010, but he donated a total of $6000 to @KamalaHarris in 2011 & 2013 (@IvankaTrump gave another $2000 in 2014). Almost all of his donations were to Republicans, but he was giving to @KamalaHarris
Ian Sams, a spokesman for the Harris Campaign told The Sacramento Bee that Kamala Harris donated the $6,000 from Trump to a non-profit that advocates for civil and human rights for Central Americans.
Though at some point in the past the President and Harris might’ve been on cordial terms, whatever relationship they might’ve had has long since gone downhill. Kamala Harris has repeatedly critiqued President Trump on his leadership abilities, and likewise, President Trump was no stranger to hold back on his feelings about Kamala Harris as Joe Biden’s running mate in the 2020 election.
