San Francisco, CA — While parents worry about getting their kids back to school, what do school officials worry about more? Of the 125 schools in the San Francisco district, The San Francisco School Names Advisory Committee (there actually is one) named 44 schools that need to change their names “due to troubling links to the past.”
This as kids still take remote lessons, which may actually harm minorities more than any other demographic, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
So precisely how does devoting resources to changing names of schools that students can’t even attend right now anyway help them?
It doesn’t! It’s just more radical obstruction by delusional idiots who have as much interest in helping kids as COVID itself.
The move comes during a year that has seen statues and monuments of historical figures toppled throughout the US, amid calls against racial injustice following the death of George Floyd in police custody in May.
At least 44 schools in San Francisco could see their names changed, as officials believe some were named after those with potential connections to slavery, genocide, and colonization, according to a report.
According to the paper, certain criteria by the committee included: “Anyone directly involved in the colonization of people, those connected to any human rights or environmental abuses, slave owners or participants in enslavement and known racists and/or white supremacists and/or espoused racist beliefs.”
Some of the schools listed under the proposed name changes included Abraham Lincoln High School, George Washington High School, Theodore Roosevelt Middle School, and Thomas Jefferson Elementary, but also Diane Feinstein Elementary. Why? Because the geriatric senator from California once replaced reportedly replaced a vandalized Confederate flag at City Hall in 1986!
The audacity! Why isn’t she on death row?
So all of the schools must come up with new names during COVID which is like trying to iron your socks during a house fire. So why not help them with names the SF Board might love?
How about Mao Zedong Elementary School? He’s not a dead white male and how about that great leap forward he cleared a mountain of bodies to achieve said leap?
Or what about Joseph Stalin Middle School? Stalin never owned a single slave, instead he enslaved millions and the killed them.
We can replace Feinstein with Sir John Harrington High School. He invented the first flushable toilet which comes in handy since San Franciso is a city that’s literally drowning in crap!
Panelist Mariposa Villaluna requested that the committee also include Thomas Edison Elementary School on the list because of his treatment of animals.
“He euthanized them without scientific research,” she said during a September meeting, according to the SF Chronicle. “It wasn’t like hamsters in a cage, you know what I mean.”
The school board will likely conduct a late January or early February vote on the recommended name changes, but each school on the list is expected to decide on an alternative name change by December 18.
Board president Mark Sanchez said the 44 schools on the list are requested to come up with new names, even with the struggles of students and staff during the pandemic.
“I don’t think there is ever going to be a time when people are ready for this,” he said, according to the paper. “Predictably people are going to be upset no matter when we do this.”
Schools across the country are in various states of closure, partial openings, 100% online, hybrid options, or some schools have opened completely. While COVID is still a pandemic and has taken the lives of thousands across the United States, we are still grappling with states and school systems who are petrified of their shadow and insist that their actions are what is best for the students.
It shouldn’t be that hard to find the transmission numbers among students and see that COVID transmission is nearly non-existent and, in fact, there is ample evidence that children don’t even pass it on very well. They are less “sticky”, meaning the virus doesn’t really “stick” to them and then “shed” elsewhere. All of the school numbers from March of 2020 up until this very moment support that.
Meanwhile, schools around the bluest state in the country are playing politics with this pandemic. These “educators” clearly don’t give a damn about what’s best for the children they are entrusted and charged with serving!
Other areas of California are being held hostage by Election Day. The county health director in Los Angeles, Dr. Barbara Ferrer, was recorded saying the country’s largest county would not reopen its schools until “after the election.”
“We don’t realistically anticipate that we would be moving to either tier 2 or to reopening K-12 schools at least until after the election, in early November,” Ferrer said in a conference call with school administrators and medical staff.
So does this mean COVID becomes much more manageable on November 4th? What could possible be their angle?!
But as California and Gomorrah continues to exhibit California & Gomorrah behavior, the students in San Francisco are being neglected because of the Left’s incessant need to fix the past instead of focusing on the problems of the here and now!
Moreover, The Chronicle estimated that name changes will cost tens of thousands of dollars for each school that needs to replace signage.
Way to keep your priorities straight, San Franciso!
There’s literally crap in the streets and, as teacher’s unions continue to choke the life out of what’s good and genuine in K-12 education, parents in California, until they finally stand up and say they have had enough, will continue to deal with this crap a lot longer!
Literally and figuratively speaking.
