Charlotte, NC — In an appearance on Sean Hannity, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) did not hold back on his opinion. He said that while Democrats are speaking a message of unity, their actions are anything but unifying.
He continues on by discussing how Democrats are in a coordinated effort with big tech. He said that conservatives will be unable to use social media. That small businesses will be boycotted and that eventually, people may not be able to take jobs because of their political positions.
You can see his full statement in the message below.
Democrats in DC say they want unity. They don’t want unity. They want total control. Control of what we say, what we think, and who we support. And they are working in lockstep with Big Tech and Big corporations to silence us. pic.twitter.com/WsY4qKkdoN
Hawley is exactly right in that there is a coordinated effort between big tech, social media, and the Democrats to eliminate conservatives. They have removed thousands of accounts, blocked President Donald Trump, and even inside videos have shown they intend to do more.
The purposeful targeting of conservatives is dangerous and does anything but promote unity. The conversation surrounding unity is simply lip service from the Democrats.
Twitter is one of the most violent offenders in this situation. They were the first to take action against President Donald Trump and have continually targeted conservatives.
They recently released a new feature that allows any user across the platform to mark tweets with information that they believe is misinformation or misleading. The feature is called Birdwatch, and allows users to share information from any other news source to combat opinions or news they may not like on the platform.
It’s unclear how the new feature will be utilized by the company. Based on past experience, one can only assume that it will be used to target those who are marked as offenders and potentially remove them from the service.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) was quick to speak out against the new service from Twitter. He said that the new ability for Leftists to dictate what is misleading was confirming that big tech was establishing itself as the sole source of truth.
