Milford, C.T. – Subway is now asking gun owners to stop carrying openly in their franchise locations.
“For the consideration and comfort of restaurant employees and guests, Subway respectfully requests that guests (other than authorized law enforcement) refrain from openly displaying firearms inside restaurants — even in states where ‘open carry’ is permitted,” the new policy reads.
Last week, Democratic Senators from Connecticut Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy wrote: “urging to prohibit the open carrying of firearms in Subway restaurants in Connecticut and across the country.”
Blumenthal and Murphy cited the recent spike in gun purchases during the COVID-19 pandemic, and armed (and peaceful) reopen protesters who patronized a Raleigh-based Subway in May as the impetus for taking action.
Subway joins Chipotle, Sonic, Chili’s, Target, Walmart, Panera Bread, Whole Foods, Starbucks, Aldi, CVS, and Walgreens in banning the opening carrying of firearms on-premises.
The leftwing lunatics are furthering their attempts to ban the use and possession of firearms across the nation. In an age of corporate responsibility, restricting the lawful carrying of firearms by business could most assuredly open-up liability if a customer is harmed or killed on business property.
The liberal mayhem continues to ravage our nation with no end in sight.
Subway operated 41,600 stores worldwide in 2019.
