Chicago, IL — Liberty activist Ammon Bundy filed paperwork on Monday declaring his intention to run for the gubernatorial nomination for the Republican Party in Idaho for the 2022 election.
In response to the news, the media has provided yet another in a long list of examples of how deceitful and corrupt it is. From false labels to leaving out important details, the media’s message is that liberty is not welcome here.
And it all starts with the headlines. ABC News headline was “Ammon Bundy, part of deadly militia standoff with feds, files for Idaho governor” while NBC News’ was “Noted anti-government activist Ammon Bundy running for governor of Idaho.”
Within both “news” stories, they are replete with the refrain of Bundy being “anti-government” or a “far-right extremist.” The media is quick to point out that Bundy has been arrested for and trespassed from the state capital for “refusing to obey Idaho Statehouse meeting rules,” as ABC put it, while offering nary a word on the details of the government tyranny in said arrests.
What the media counts on is an unthinking, lazy public without a memory which will just accept the narrative. Unfortunately, the American public has proven the media right so many times in the past, but for once, let us prove the media wrong.
Anyone who loves liberty and reviews the details of the 2014 Bundy Ranch standoff regarding land rights in Nevada and the 2016 occupation of Malheur National Refuge in Oregon, also pertaining to land rights, of which Bundy was one of the patriot leaders, you’ll come away with nothing short of disdain for the federal government’s authoritarian measures take against the people.
Bundy’s family had grazing rights for over a century, dating back to the 1870s, but the federal government and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) said no more, the feds own the land, and slapped a fine of over $1 million onto Bundy. The leviathan government’s disdain for the people’s rights led to Bundy and others to stand up to it in 2014 and 2016.
The media’s so-called “armed militia” were nothing more than farmers and ranchers standing up for their rights to help produce our food, and yes, some of them exercised their Second Amendment rights. But more importantly, the government came in with even more arms and snipers in a heavily militaristic show of force on the American people.
For standing up for liberty, Bundy has achieved the label of anti-government, a label he rejects.
“We’ve lost two things,” Bundy said in a 2016 interview. “One, I believe that the governments in general have lost their vision on what their purpose is which is to protect the individual. And two, they have lost their understanding that they are limited, that they do not have the power to just make a law for anything.”
Bundy added: “And of course, that’s why I get the anti-government name. But I’m not. I believe that we have to have a government. I believe that it has to be accountable, it has to be limited and it has to be for the purpose of protecting the individual.”
ABC was quick to note that the 2016 “armed standoff with federal authorities resulted in one fatality,” but it failed to note who perpetrated the violence. It was the government, both the FBI and Oregon State Police, that perpetrated all the violence and killed 55-year-old rancher LaVoy Finicum and did nothing to provide medical treatment as he lay dying after he was shot multiple times.
The feds lied and imprisoned Ammon and his brother Ryan Bundy for nearly two years during a prolonged prosecution in which the Bundy’s were acquitted of all the trumped-up charges.
Now in 2020 and 2021, Bundy is facing the same tyranny thanks to the COVID-19 hoax. His “crimes” over the past year has been to attempt to take part as a member of the public in the governing process and for refusing to be muzzled. Of course, the media doesn’t want you to know that.
Bundy is one of seven Republicans who have filed to run for governor, including the current Gov. Brad Little who is so tyrannical that even his Lt. Gov. Janice McGeachin has filed to challenge him. Little easily defeated his Democrat challenger, 59.8 percent to 38.2 percent, in 2018 and whoever wins this primary is likely to easily win as well. Hopefully, the people of Idaho send a message to the feds and the media that liberty is welcome in America.
