Charlotte, NC – On Monday, President Trump told Governors across the country that it was time to take a hard stance against the violent rioters. In his comments, Trump said the Governors were weak in their handling of the situation and that they needed to take a more dominant stance with rioters. The comments come after nights of riots across the country.
Mainstream media continues to call the events protests, but it’s clear that these events are much more dangerous than a protest. Thousands have been arrested, hundreds injured, and multiple people have lost their lives.
The National Guard has been called into many states to assist with the rioters. Looters are stealing from businesses. Many businesses and much private property has been destroyed by the riots.
As we have outlined before, the riots are not providing any sort of justice to the tragic death of George Floyd. Floyd, died one week ago today while in the custody of Minneapolis police. One officer has been arrested and charged with murder due to his actions while Floyd was in custody.
Monday marks one week since the death of Floyd. Media groups across the country are running news articles daily that say preparations for more violent “protests” are being made. It seems the media is fanning the flame of the riots, rather than promoting peace.
One voice of peace has been Floyd’s brother. Terrence Floyd said that the violence should stop and the people should educate themselves and vote, to change things up. His calls were clear that he would like to see a change in the White House.
Democrats across the country have jumped onto this and blamed President Trump. They have blamed Trump for the racial tensions and for what they call “inflammatory” statements. While Trump has said that the death of Floyd is tragic, most conservatives feel he is speaking the truth in reference to the rioters. He continues that truth by telling the Governors to toughen up.
