As House Democrats continue their impeachment push against President Trump, recent polls show that he is surging in key states. A recent Firehouse/Optimus poll shows that President Trump is getting stronger. The states in the poll consist of Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
In the Michigan poll, Trump leads all top Democrat contenders by at least 5 points. Biden is his closest competition and Trump leads 46-41. Trump holds double digit leads over Buttigieg and Bloomberg. His lead over Sanders and Warren is well outside the margin of error in the poll. The good news does not stop there.
His lead in Pennsylvania may be a lot smaller, but he is still winning in all head to head matchups against the Democrats. Here his closest challenger is Bloomberg at 45-41, with Trump leading. His largest lead is against Sanders at +10 in Pennsylvania. Wisconsin also tells a positive story. Trump leads all candidates head to head by double digits except Biden. Trump leads Biden in Wisconsin 48-39.
These poll numbers show what we have suspected all along. Voters are growing frustrated with the impeachment process and are ready to move on. Yet, Democrats refuse to move on and address the real issues. Over 50% of those surveyed in all 3 states were against impeachment and removal of President Trump. When asked where Democrats should be spending their time, the overwhelming majority of those surveyed suggested that they preferred addressing US issues rather than impeachment.
This poll mirrors another poll out Monday that shows President Trump leading all contenders in the state of Arizona. Democrats had hopes of flipping this state, but the OH Predictive Insights poll shows that may be a challenge. In fact, if you take a look at Real Clear Politics it is easy to see the move towards President Trump. The leads in many polls of the Democrats have fallen and a lot of red is now showing for President Trump leads.
Approval of the House inquiry has fallen. Support for impeachment and removal has fallen. The Democrats are truly struggling as they move forward with this impeachment. While Trump is far from the most popular President ever, he is a lot stronger than most give him credit for. Trump’s approval rating is higher than President Obama’s was at this point in his presidency. But you will not hear that on the main stream media.
The only thing you will hear is that Trump supposedly cheated in the 2016 election. Yet, that theory was already debunked multiple times over through the Democrats “savior” Robert Mueller. Democrats simply cannot let this go. There’s no proof of collusion with Russia to influence the election, yet he is charged with it. While they did not directly reference Russia, they implied it in their verbal statements.
Why didn’t they reference Russia, bribery or the other suggestions they have made? It can be summed up in one single word: votes. Some Democrats in key districts, like those mentioned above cannot support those wild baseless conspiracy theories. The only complaint that is valid is that Trump’s actions in Ukraine were bad. I think all Americans would agree that he could have handled it better. I have no issue with him asking for investigations into corruption, but he could have handled the request much better.
In the end, Democrats are fighting a losing battle. The Republicans in the Senate will never stray from their support of Trump without clear evidence. Evidence that the Democrats have been trying to make up since November 2016. You would think after 3 straight years of failure, they would realize it’s time to move on. Instead, they simply choose to make the President they hate stronger through their sham inquiry.
