Well, it looks like Brittney Griner isn’t coming home anytime soon. The woman who is in a Russian jail for breaking the law had hoped that Joe Biden would free her from the 9-year sentence imposed by the Russian court. I am not sure why she thinks she should get out, to be honest. She admitted to breaking the law and is now paying the price for her crime. But liberals seem to feel there is some horrific injustice happening here. I think the real injustice was arrogant Brittney thinking she could do whatever she wanted and break local laws because she’s an entitled liberal American.
Regardless of the facts, Biden vowed to get Brittney out. Of course, he’s made zero progress. Biden’s only focus in life is using Ukraine to take down Russia. He’s shoving billions of our hard earned money over there and inching us closer and closer to a nuclear war. If anything, Brittney should be scared that her hero Joe Biden will end up starting a nuclear war with Russia while she’s serving time.
We did a piece recently about how Brittney will probably be sent to a really scary-looking “work camp” for women, next month.
Brittney’s wife is worried because she says Brittney feels hopeless and like her life doesn’t matter. I certainly don’t like to hear anybody feel that way, even if I think they’re a radical communist. Let’s hope Brittney turns to God and finds some peace in her soul, because after what Putin just said, it looks like she isn’t going anywhere, anytime soon.
The Guardian reported the difficulties involved in freeing Brittney Griner from her imprisonment in Russia were brought into stark relief this weekend when a senior aide to Vladimir Putin said the issue is not a priority for the Russian president.
In August, the basketball star was given a nine-year prison sentence for bringing a small amount of cannabis oil into Russia. The 31-year-old said she uses the drug to treat pain and has lodged an appeal against her sentence.
Joe Biden’s administration said in July that it had made a “substantial proposal” to bring home Griner and Paul Whelan, another American imprisoned in Russia. The administration has not provided specifics about its proposal, but according to multiple reports, it had offered to release Viktor Bout, a convicted Russian arms dealer imprisoned in the US.
However on Sunday, Yury Ushakov, an aide to Putin, said Biden was most concerned about good publicity as the US midterm elections approach.
“In this tense situation, I think that he is thinking first and foremost about the upcoming midterm elections so he keeps emphasizing the need to bring back home the basketball player who was detained for drug smuggling. However, it’s not the main issue that we are concerned about,” Ushakov said in an interview with Rossiya-1.
Biden said last week that he would talk to Putin at the upcoming G20 summit if it concerns Griner.
“Look, I have no intention of meeting with him,” said Biden. “But, for example, if he came to me at the G20 and said, ‘I want to talk about the release of Griner,’ I would meet with him.”
Earlier this month Griner’s wife, Cherelle, said the double Olympic champion is afraid of being forgotten by the US. She told CBS Mornings that her wife, who was playing in Russia during the WNBA offseason, also fears being moved to a labor camp.
“She’s very afraid about being left and forgotten in Russia,” Cherelle Griner said. She said Brittney told her in a phone call that she felt “like my life just doesn’t matter.”
Honestly, would you feel good knowing Bumbling Joe Biden was the guy who held the keys to your fate? I know I sure as hell wouldn’t. He and his admin are a group of confused clowns, shuffling around in circles, bumping into one another. Besides, why on earth would Putin help Biden out?
He’s getting screwed over right now because Biden is fighting a proxy war against Russia in Ukraine. I can’t see why Vlad would hand Joe a “domestic victory” right now.
Honestly, it’ll take Trump to release her. And if he runs in 2024, he’ll get her out, even though she doesn’t deserve it.
