President Joe Biden suffered a scare this week during a speech in Minnesota, calling out the name of a person he thought was in the audience but who evidently was not.
“Where are you, Jacob?” Biden said. “He was here.”
As far as we know, Minneapolis mayor Jacob Frey is still alive, but it wouldn’t be the first time Biden attempted to commune with the dead.
The 80-year-old president attempted to comfort the residents of Rolling Fork, Miss., after their town was ravaged by tornadoes. It didn’t go so well.
“The town of Rolling Stone will be back, and we’ll be with you every step of the way,” Biden said. “And I, whoa, did I. What did I say? I didn’t.”
