As I scrolled through articles today, I came across this article over at Wonkette stating that doctors, nurses and new moms needs to “get your bulletproof vests.” The writer refers to the Trump rally as a hate rally and as a “marathon of lies.” The post continues in saying in essence, that Trump’s statements are nothing more than a Republican war on women and that Trump does not care about women or babies/abortion. The writer also claimed that this was a Trump effort towards “dehumanization.”
Apparently, the writer of the article is confused about dehumanization as this is the tactic that Democrats have been using to justify abortion for years. Just read the description of an abortion over at the Planned Parenthood website, where it says that a “Doctor or nurse uses medical instruments to remove the pregnancy from your uterus.” So the baby is nothing but a “pregnancy?” In a recent post, I discussed how the general consensus in science is that life begins at conception. Referring to a human being as nothing more than a “pregnancy” surely seems more like dehumanization to me.
So after accusing Trump of dehumanizing, the main title of the article suggests that doctors, nurses, and moms should all grab their bulletproof vests. Here’s a link to the transcript of the entire Trump comments from Wisconsin and I do not see anywhere he asked for violence towards doctors, nurses, or moms. He did condemn the anti-Semitism and hate regarding the synagogue attack that occurred. He called it exactly what it was, anti-Semitism. The writer of the article at Wonkette is sparking the thought of voilence by the post that was written, even though Trump has repeatedly spoken out against recent attacks.
So back to the topic at hand, the main stream media has been quick to jump on the comments by Trump as lies. The comments were made in response to Ralph Northam, governor of Virginia in January on a radio interview. In the interview, the governor described the process of what would happen if a baby (he calls it a fetus) survives a late term abortion attempt. For the record, a deformity or abnormality does not mean that a child will never be successful or isn’t worth having. Trump describes where a child is given to the parents and a discussion about “execution” is had, which is exactly how the governor describes it. The link to the video is below so you can hear for yourself. Sounds like the media is pushing a false narrative to me.
