WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden reportedly lied to Jewish leaders about having visited the Tree of Life, a Pittsburgh synagogue targeted in a 2018 mass shooting.
The New York Post reported Friday:
WASHINGTON — President Biden did not visit the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh after the murder of 11 congregants — despite saying so, the White House admitted Friday.
Biden on Thursday told Jewish leaders that he remembered “spending time at” and “going to” the Tree of Life, but the synagogue told The Post he never visited.
Nearly 24 hours after being asked about the discrepancy, a White House official said in a statement that Biden “was referring to a call he had with the Tree of Life rabbi in 2019.”
This is as shameless as it is indescribably gross.
If Biden will lie about visiting the site of the deadliest anti-Semitic hate crime in American history, he’ll lie about anything.
And that’s exactly what he’s done — compulsive liars comprise the Biden administration almost entirely.
For many, of course, that is a statement of the plainly obvious. After all, Democrats have always been awarded the luxury of making egregious claims with impunity thanks to their stranglehold on our institutions. However, this only emboldens them, and they only become more brazen with time. Suddenly, “if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor” and “I did not have sexual relations with that woman” seem almost tame in retrospect.
We’ve found ourselves at a point where Democrats know full well that they can literally say whatever they want without a shred of evidence to back it up. That’s the backbone of almost all PR done on behalf of the Biden administration.
For example: late last month, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki — perpetually renowned as an oracle of political truths — told Fox News’ Peter Doocy that the Biden administration was not stranding Americans in Afghanistan, before going on to chastise the reporter and condemn any narrative deviating from that purveyed by the administration as “irresponsible.”
This, of course, turned out to be patently false; dozens of American citizens are still awaiting evacuation in Kabul today.
Meanwhile, in July, Biden himself instructed then-Afghan President Ashraf Ghani to lie to the public about the state of American efforts to quell the Taliban.
Perhaps most baffling about this inane gaslighting is that there is no apparent ulterior motive behind it, aside from malevolent ego-stroking.
And that’s exactly what team Biden excels at — feeding themselves and the public blatant untruths to reassure themselves that what we’re witnessing is anything but abject failure.
