WASHINGTON — On Monday, the CDC announced that it was proposing changes to isolation restrictions for Americans who may contract the coronavirus. The current recommendation is 10 days, but that would be cut in half to 5 days under the newest proposal.
The Associated Press reports that the CDC says the newest guidance is in alignment “with growing evidence that people with the coronavirus are most infectious in the two days before and three days after symptoms develop.” Details in the press release also give another view.
CDC experts state they are expecting massive spread of Omicron among Americans in the coming weeks. The AP report says that Omicron is much less severe than previous COVID variants, but there is a wide expectation for Americans to be put into quarantine from work amid the Omicron wave.
For the new recommendations, the CDC is clear that there is no difference between those who are vaccinated and those who are not, further indicating a rift between the push for COVID vaccines. Both President Joe Biden and Dr. Anthony Fauci of NIH have suggested that vaccines would prevent the spread of COVID and would eradicate the virus from our nation.
While Fauci and Biden state we should follow the science, the science indicates that those statements are completely false.
That has not stopped Fauci and Biden from their vaccine mandate push, however. On Monday, Fauci took his vaccine message to a new level.
In a statement, Fauci said that the United States should mandate COVID vaccines for air travel. His statement cannot be taken to indicate that the vaccines are beneficial to Americans because he said, “when you make vaccination a requirement, that’s another incentive to get more people vaccinated.”
It seems he is only worried about forcing people to be vaccinated rather than operating in the interest of public health.
When pressed on the issue, Joe Biden only acknowledged that the subject was discussed, but refused to comment. Biden has typically followed the suggestions of Anthony Fauci, who continues to change his guidance and rules in ways that appear further from what is actually needed.
The US already mandates COVID vaccines for foreigners who will travel by air into the US, but has stopped short of mandating a vaccine for travel in the US and among US citizens. Currently, Americans can show proof of a negative COVID test in order to fly provided the destination does not mandate a vaccine.
The continued changing of information continues to fuel the assumption that COVID is being used by political leaders as a means of control.
