Almaty, Kazakhstan — Already deadly protests against the government of Kazakhstan have continued and the deaths continue to mount.
That is according to new reports from BBC News, which shares that nearly 200 have died and almost 6,000 have been arrested in the government’s actions.
The nation requested troops to help stop the violence, to which Russia happily responded. Russia has had an interest in the nation, which has some of the world’s largest oil reserves.
Most mainstream media outlets report that the protests started amid the removal of a natural gas price cap by the pro-Russia leadership regime. However, there are questions amid those allegations.
The protests are against government corruption, which there have been multiple accusations of treason with a recent arrest of the former Intelligence Chief.
