The online virtual reality game “IMVU,” which has encountered recurrent issues over child predators exploiting the software to discover and communicate with kids, was backed financially by an investment firm headed by President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden. Hunter, the President’s son, also appears to have created an account on the website, according to information obtained from his laptop by The National Pulse.
IMVU, a virtual world and social networking site, was founded in 2004 and allows users to build a personalized avatar and connect with other users in public and private chat rooms.
Despite allowing adult content and communities for fandoms such as “furries,” the site – characterized as a “metaverse” style concept – has often boasted of its “most energetic and young” user base.
The investment stands out among Rosemont Seneca Technology Partners’ (RSTP) portfolio, which includes Metabiota, a pandemic tracking and response firm with ties to the Wuhan Institute of Virology and Ukrainian biological laboratories, and is a subsidiary of the Hunter Biden and Christopher Heinz-founded Rosemont Capital.
Both Biden and Heinz were managing directors at RSTP. Heinz is the stepson of John Kerry, the current US Secretary of State and previous Secretary of State.
Despite the fact that the website for the technology-focused investment fund has been removed, preserved webpages show that IMVU has been in RSTP’s portfolio since at least March 2014.
Given its capacity for users to stay anonymous and not having to publicly declare their age, public safety officials have warned against children and teenagers using the “very dangerous” software.
“I wouldn’t really recommend this even for 18 year olds. I think that it’s a dangerous app for anyone to use, and there’s no real way to track the age group,” urged a spokeswoman for the Jefferson County Victims Assistance Center in New York.
“So you don’t know who you’re chatting with and you’re making an avatar. You also don’t know what they look like and that can be really dangerous.”
IMVU’s algorithms make it difficult for law authorities to track users, adding to the complexity of investigations involving child abuse or harassment.
“Sometimes in an investigation, they have a hard time figuring out who these people are and they’re hiding behind an IP address or a fake account. And that makes it difficult to get that child justice,” the official added.
In practice, child predators have utilized the app to attract — and prey on – potential victims.
Following a law enforcement sting operation on IMVU in February 2007, a 26-year-old man was arrested in Colorado on accusations of child luring.
“Investigators say Wood was in the 3-D chat room IMVU which uses avatar animated characters designed by members. They say Wood contacted who he thought was a young female but was actually a law enforcement officer acting as a decoy,” explained a report.
IMVU FEATURES SEVERAL STRIP CLUBS.
The platform’s efforts to make itself appealing to youthful users, according to Denver District Attorney Scott Storey, are making it an easy resource for criminals. “predators to hide behind a facade as they lure our unsuspecting children.”
“The use of avatar animation on this site will make it even more appealing to younger users. It appears to kids to be a perfect world where they can create themselves to look like they want to look and dress like they want to dress. They can direct and star in their own video. In reality, it is just one more resource for predators to hide behind a facade as they lure our unsuspecting children,” he explained.
IMVU was also singled out in a report detailing how child predators use online computer games to prey on children. According to the report, Suffolk Police in the United Kingdom dealt with an instance of a 10-year-old girl being groomed on IMVU.
Similarly, a 26-year-old Illinois man was arrested for sending pornographic photographs to a young girl he befriended on IMVU between the ages of five and sixteen. Authorities discovered around 20 photographs of child pornography involving two victims when they searched the alleged pedophile’s home.
On November 12, 2017, Hunter Biden set up an account on IMVU using his burner e-mail alias ‘DroidHunter88,’ according to a search of ‘IMVU’ on his estranged laptop. The number ’88’ in the e-mail is ambiguous, while the Anti-Defamation League claims it refers to “Heil Hitler” because the letter H is the alphabet’s eighth letter.
The user: “arden170” or “guest_arden170” appears to no longer exist on the platform.

Hunter’s “DroidHunter88” e-mail account was frequently used to sign up for pornographic or sex-related websites including “Adult Friend Finder,” “PornHub,” and “Firecams,” among others. The account was supplied “tokens” at $500, $400, $300, $200, $100, $99, $50, $26, and $20 amounts over a period of years, according to an e-mail from “DirtyRoulette.”
Thousands of dollars have been spent on sex websites in total, with e-mails revealing Hunter’s full name – Robert Hunter Biden – still available on the device.

IMVU was ranked as one of the riskiest websites to visit in a poll of children analyzing which websites were most likely to present users with unwanted pornographic material, with an 18-year-old who reviewed the social community revealing, “lots of adults are sexual through their characters, for example talking about sex, and also drugs.”
The investment was discovered as linkages between Democratic Party officials and activists and pedophilia have been disclosed, and as the corporate media demands that conservatives cease using the term “groomer” to describe child sex and gender obsessives.
