There is a lot of craziness going on right now in the GOP, a lot of it is really good. I believe we should challenge party leaders, and after all the crap MAGA has ben through these past couple of years, it’s a good idea to flex muscles and show what we can still do. We’re not dead, we’re not gone, and we’re just getting started, and we want more power. That’s the message, and that’s a good thing. But, that’s where the “good stuff” ends. The rest of it is a lot of fighting within the party – and while that’s not always a bad thing, I think many people are missing the bigger point here. The “NeverMcCarthy” people are digging their heels in and won’t accept any talk of a McCarthy speakership…and that’s not a good stance, and here’s why…
Now, I am no fan of McCarthy, I can tell you this. I think he’s a scumbag, and he’s a backstabber… but aren’t they all? The truth is, we don’t have the numbers to get one of our guys in as speaker, so, would it be smarter to break down McCarthy, make him concede to our demands, and put in a way to quickly remove him if he backs down, so we can get REAL power for the long run? Or should we say “NeverMcCarthy” and allow Dems and RINOs to cook up a backroom deal, and put some establishment stooge in, who won’t work with us or cut any deals?
Well, many people believe the McCarthy option would be better for us in the long run, as long as he was broken down, and does what we want…or else.
One conservative lawyer makes the case for McCarthy. If you’re looking for a speaker with the savagery of Pelosi, Will Chamberlain says look no further than Kevin McCarthy:
“I know how hard this may be to believe, folks, but the guy you are looking for is -ba dum bum- Kevin McCarthy”
Understand – Democrats have disrespected McCarthy repeatedly over the past two years One obvious example is when they refused his nominees for the Jan 6 commission and then subpoenaed him One of the reasons I support McCarthy is that he’s been radicalized
At the same time – he has the support of the moderates, which means he can actually *do* things to the Democrats and keep the centrists in line You aren’t going to find that combination elsewhere
Does he agree with us on foreign policy? No, but then neither does anyone who can get 218 He agrees on the need to be aggressive with subpoenas and to make Democrats’ lives miserable That’s why @mtgreenee supports him, she’s no delicate flower
We need a Speaker who agrees with the need for aggressive subpoena use while maintaining the support of the moderates
And when asked about McCarthy’s unwillingness to impeach Biden, his response was this:
Impeachment would itself be theatre because we don’t even have a majority in the Senate
I know how hard this may be to believe, folks, but the guy you are looking for is
-ba dum bum-

Now, I don’t think McCarthy on his own would be a “good speaker” at all. He’s a total empty suit establishment guy. But McCarthy broken down and placed into a submissive role, where he has to allow Freedom Caucus power? Well, that’s a totally different story in my book.
I like the “art of the deal,” and I think it’s smart to have a plan that benefits you “power-wise” in the end. That’s how we win. Not with just “stunts” but with briliant “deals” and moves.
Keep in mind, one of the concessions that is always on the table, is if McCarthy doesn’t keep his word, he can be removed… and they want a rule change so he’d be easier to kick out.
So, what do you think? Are you NeverMcCarthy, or are you okay with working the “art of the deal” and getting concessions and making power moves with him?
