[VIDEO] Get Ready to LOL With This Really Bad Lip Reading Theater: Speaker of The House Version

Well, the speakership was finally decided after 15 rounds. And things got crazy. At one point, there was almost a brawl between Rep. Rogers and Matt Gaetz. So what really happened? The New York Post reported this: The congressman who nearly came to blows with Rep. Matt Gaetz said he was incensed by how the Florida politician was conducting himself on the House floor during the heated voting for Rep. Kevin McCarthy’s speakership.

“I was just exasperated that Matt was treating McCarthy so badly,” Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Ala.) told The Post Saturday.

“So, I just walked over to the end the aisle a few feet away from where he was seated and said, ‘Matt I am not going to forget this.’

“I was about to walk away when [North Carolina Rep.] Richard Hudson grabbed me from behind and pulled me backward,” Rogers recalled.

He added that the whole thing was “really a big nothing burger.”

Gaetz, a Republican from Florida, said he was also surprised by the confrontation.

“I’ve never seen Mike like that. He’s a quintessential old southern gentleman,” Gaetz said. “We have a longstanding positive and productive relationship. It was a momentary frustration on his part given the high drama and tension of the week.”

But there actually is likely a lot more to this issue than just a “nothing burger.”

This is from CNN reporter Kate Sullivan:

“Tim Burchett, who was in between Matt Gaetz and Mike Rogers during their confrontation on the House floor, tells me Rogers was making threats about ending careers. “People shouldn’t be drinking, especially when you’re a redneck, on the House floor,” Burchett said.”

“I would drop him like a bag of dirt,” Burchett said of Rogers. “Nobody’s gonna put their hands on me. Nobody’s gonna threaten me.”

“It’s just one of those things — you’ve been around fights before, you’ve seen it. Some guy gets in your face and then it’s just an unfortunate moment is all it was. It shouldn’t have happened. He shouldn’t have crossed that line,” Burchett said.

Wow, threatening to end careers doesn’t sound like a “nothing burger” to me.

Well, it’s par for the course – the entire speaker situation was bizarre, but quite frankly, much-needed.

And what else is needed is something funny. And speaking of the speakership and that “Rogers/Gaetz” showdown, I found this hilarious “Lip Reading” theater piece, that will have you laughing out loud.

That was so funny. I watched it like 4 times. But seriously, you gotta wonder… what did they say to each other?

I would love to know…
