They just released the 911 call that the maid made after Lisa Marie Presley suffered a heart attack and was found unresponsive in her home. The call is being touted by a lot of outlets as “chaotic” and “chilling.” I didn’t think it was that way at all. I think the maid handled herself rather calmly, considering the situation. The 911 dispatcher was having some trouble understanding her. She sounded like she had a thick accent, and Lisa’s former husband (who was also on the scene) sounded relatively calm and in control, as they did whatever they could to try and save her.
Page Six reported that Lisa Marie Presley’s housekeeper’s 911 call ahead of the singer’s cardiac arrest reveals a frantic scene.
In the Jan. 12 audio clip obtained by the New York Post, Presley’s employee can be heard attempting to direct emergency responders to the Calabasas home.
“What’s the address of your emergency?” the operator asks, struggling to understand the housekeeper’s response.
After trying to clarify the “closest street on the corner,” the housekeeper admits, “I really don’t know.”
A man, believed to be Presley’s ex-husband Danny Keough, takes over the call.
“There’s a security gate in the neighborhood, but they’ll just let them through,” he says. “How close are they? How far are they?”
Although the operator has “no idea,” paramedics can be heard arriving to the scene by the end of the conversation.
Paramedics reportedly performed CPR on Presley, administered epinephrine and revived her pulse before rushing her to West Hills Hospital and Medical Center, where she was placed under life support.
Priscilla Presley confirmed her 54-year-old daughter’s death later that evening.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” the actress, 77, told the Associated Press.
Lisa Marie will be laid to rest at Graceland. May she rest in peace.
