Hunter Biden is suing Rudy Giuliani and his one-time attorney Robert Costello for “hacking” and “obsessing over” the contents on his laptop.
The suit, levied Tuesday by Biden’s attorney Abbe Lowell, accuses the pair of having “dedicated an extraordinary amount of time and energy toward looking for, hacking into, tampering with, manipulating, copying, disseminating, and generally obsessing over data that they were given that was taken or stolen.”
The suit further alleges the leaked data on Biden’s hard drive that has made headlines for the past three years was “manipulated, altered and damaged” before being sent to the pair.
The suit was filed in California and asks a jury to decide damages. The suit comes after Biden in March filed a countersuit against the owner of the Delaware laptop store where the first son left his laptop.
Biden and his team have also sued the IRS for “failing” to protect his personal information from whistleblowers. They also sued a former White House aide to Donald Trump for his alleged involvement in the laptop’s distribution.
The lawsuit comes after a poll found roughly half of Americans believe President Joe Biden broke the law regarding his son. Hunter Biden is set to face charges on gun crimes.
Joe Biden has reportedly told allies he fears he could be dead by the time Hunter Biden’s legal troubles clear up.
