What happened: Israeli child hostages abducted during the Hamas terrorist attack on Oct. 7, in which more than 1,200 civilians were murdered, were reunited with their families this week as part of a temporary truce agreement.
• Meanwhile, in the West Bank, prisoners released by Israel were greeted by boisterous crowds waving Hamas flags and calls for continued “resistance” against the evil Jews.
What they’re saying: The aunt of a 12-year-old Israeli-French dual citizen taken hostage by Hamas said that the terrorist “monsters” beat her nephew and forced him to watch videos of the Oct. 7 atrocities, threatening him and other child hostages “with rifles to shut them up.”
• “Put the sword before the sword, we are the men of Mohammed Deif,” chanted Roda Abu Agamiya following her release from Israeli prison as part of the truce agreement. Abu Agamiya was referring to the head of Hamas’s so-called military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades. She was convicted in Israel earlier this year on charges of recruiting terrorists.
Bottom line: Despite mainstream media reports suggesting otherwise, there would appear to be a significant difference between the two sides in this conflict.
