Washington, DC – Facebook announced that it has removed ads from the Trump campaign for violating its organized hate policy. The ads were against Antifa, a group recently identified as a domestic terrorist group by President Trump. A Nazi symbol is used to signify the group and Facebook said that it violates the sites policy.
In a statement, Facebook said, “Our policy prohibits using a banned hate group’s symbol to identify political prisoners without the context that condemns or discusses the symbol.” The upside down red triangle was used to identify political opponents by the Nazis.
The Trump campaign defended the move in comments to The Hill saying that the symbol is a common Antifa symbol. Another group said that the Trump campaign was using the images to smear protestors.

Nazis used the red triangle to mark political prisoners and people who rescued Jews.

It is worth remembering that protestors are peaceful and do not destroy or injure other people. As part of the “peaceful protests” that the media has reported on, countless businesses and properties have been destroyed, and many have lost their lives. Much of this was at the hand of Antifa, who advocated for violence as part of the movement.
