Charlotte, NC — Do you know the name Kim Howe?
If you’re a Republican who likes to feign outrage at the left’s “diversity” game while playing it yourself, and you’re prepared to foist a mentally disturbed man, Caitlyn Jenner, up as the next governor of California, you should know that name. But more on Howe in a bit.
Years ago, I had a bumper sticker that simply stated “Remember Chappaquiddick” and it depicted a car upside-down in water. Hopefully, you all know that story. That’s the story of Ted Kennedy and his drunk driving leading to the death of Mary Jo Kopechne in 1969. That incident may have played a role in Kennedy never becoming president, but that’s the only ramification he ever had from the incident. He went on to spend nearly five decades in the U.S. Senate and affectionately was called the “Lion of the Senate.” I prefer the moniker killer who never faced justice, at least not here on earth.
Now, back to Howe. In February of 2015, the 69-year-old widow was killed in a four-car pileup crash on the Pacific Coast Highway in California. Jenner, still with his family-given name of Bruce, rammed into the back of Howe’s car setting off the four-car accident.
Two months later in April, Jenner “came out” as a “woman” with a new name: Caitlyn.
As comedian Bill Burr put it: “This is what killed me when Bruce became Caitlyn. That was like a national news story like at a ridiculous level. There’s like baby seals washing up on the beach because there’s no fish left, and they’re talking to this, this — lady. You know? Like, ‘So, Bruce, can you’re Olympic back handle a D-cup or you gonna go with like something a little more perky?’”
I don’t know much about the plight of baby seals, but the point remains true. After Jenner announced he was a she, the media ran wild exclaiming to the world how “beautiful” and how “powerful” it was the Jenner was “living her truth.” Meanwhile, in reality where there exists real truth, there was family in pain and mourning at the loss of a family member from the reckless driving of Jenner.
The Los Angeles County Sherriff’s Department found that Jenner was at fault for the accident and was ready to recommend manslaughter charges be brought up against him, but the L.A. District Attorney chose not to bring charges. Families involved in the accident, including Howe’s, did bring civil suits and Jenner settled out of court.
That may be the entire point of Jenner’s “transition” to begin with. Ian Halperin wrote a book in 2016 titled Kardashian Dynasty: The Controversial Rise of America’s Royal Family. The Daily Mail quoted Halperin: “‘Before Bruce got into the accident, he gave the world hints about his true sexuality,’ Halperin quotes a friend as saying. ‘After the accident, he went full steam ahead. I truly believe he was trying to misdirect the negative publicity he received after the car crash….it was clear he was worried about being charged.’”
In 2019, Howe’s family told The Sun that Jenner never apologized to them.
Jenner is no different than Kennedy. He’s a self-absorbed, sociopath solely concerned with himself.
So, Republicans who choose to put party politics over principle, stop acting like you’re any different than the left because you’re not. And remember the name Kim Howe.
