Charlotte, NC — Democrats and Republicans have been bickering for weeks over new coronavirus aid. Republicans have their plan, which has yet to receive a vote. Democrats have their plan, which passed the Democrat-controlled House easily. With the issuance of four executive orders, President Trump drew a line in the sand with Democrats.
Democrats have been frustrated since President Trump issued the orders, calling them unconstitutional, worthless, and pointless. They have indicated they would take legal action against President Trump, but none has been taken as of yet.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer released a joint statement on Wednesday, trying to win the American people over to their cause. They claimed that they have negotiated in good faith. They said that they have attempted to compromise, stating that they will come down a whole $1 trillion if the Republicans come up on their package by $1 trillion.
Pelosi then said that the Trump administration does not realize the grave situation that Americans are facing. Treasury Secretary Mnuchin said that the administration has made an offer and does not intend to change their stance.
Democrats have compromised. Repeatedly, we have made clear to the Trump Admin that we are willing to come down $1 trillion if they will come up $1 trillion. However, it is clear that the Admin still does not grasp the magnitude of the problems that American families are facing.

The fact that Trump drew a line in the sand is killing Democrats. Most of the media coverage of the coronavirus aid subsided after the announcements of the executive orders and the recent news of Biden announcing his running mate. If the situation was as dire as reported, do you not think that the media would not be covering this nonstop?
Democrats across Congress continue to speak out about the issue, without offering real solutions. Almost all of the items in the Democrats bill will not help Americans. It is political pandering. They continue to attack Trump over his orders, spreading lies and fake news.
Dear @realDonaldTrump: Your Executive Order on evictions doesn’t do anything. Your EO on unemployment cuts the benefit in half. Your other EO slashes funds to Social Security. Instead of harmful EOs, you should take this pandemic seriously and work with Congress. https://t.co/o8lgVKfgTH

The evictions order prevents evictions for those most at risk. This Representative above claimed that unemployment was cut in half. The number was $400, not $300. I am sure that was an honest mistake that was not meant to mislead people.
They argue that Trump and his administration should take things seriously, but the Democrats are the ones not taking things seriously. They believe the solution to all of our country’s problems is to simply spend money. Trillions of dollars, in fact, that seemingly just grows on trees.
The Democrats are frustrated that Trump acted without them. His actions addressed the real immediate needs of Americans and, the Democrats are frustrated. Rather than addressing the fake crises that the left has made, Trump focused on immediate concerns with the least cost.
Americans will receive money. Not every American, but those who are unemployed and those who make less than $100,000. Housing will be protected and those paying student debt will receive relief from payments. The Democrats just do not understand.
How can we not fund free wifi across the country? How can we not pay house payments for those who need them? How can we not simply write off billions in student debt due to the pandemic?
President Trump can afford to take the hardline stance now that he issued the orders. He forced the Democrats hands as they cannot fight his orders. If they do, they are evil. If they don’t, Americans receive relief, and the issue is solved. President Trump has put a line in the sand. Good luck to you Nancy and Chuck!
