Spartacus Falls As Things Heat Up

In some truly disappointing news, Democratic Presidential candidate Cory Booker has dropped out of the race. One of the earliest entrants into the contest, Booker has struggled to raise money and gain support. Even with recent departures of other candidates, he struggles to keep his head above the water.

The news of his departure obviously upset President Trump. Here’s what he said:

Of course this is probably not the most upsetting news for Democrats from today. Bernie Sander’s campaign finally started going after Elizabeth Warren. This is something that I have said would need to happen for weeks. It was impossible for them to both campaign for the same radical voters being friendly. If one can successfully win the voters of the other, or even a half of them, they can win the nomination.

In talking points that were released, voters were being pointed to the fact that Warren seems to cater to the elite rather than everyday American’s. Warren is not the only one attacked in the talking points, but this is a shift for Sanders who has been friendly with Warren up to this point.

Of course, President Trump could not resist taking a jab at the reported friction between the two Senators.

The Democratic primary continues to heat up as candidates are dropping out and candidates are vying for position. Just a few weeks out from the Iowa caucuses and RealClearPolitics is showing Sanders gaining momentum while Buttigieg and Warren are slipping.

This momentum could very well carry Bernie Sanders to some quick wins in the primary race. A win in Iowa and New Hampshire will go a long way to establishing additional momentum for Sanders. There is a real possibility he wins the nomination and defeats Joe Biden.

There are still a couple candidates I expect to drop out in the next few weeks leading up to the Iowa events. But there is an exciting part. There is a 100% possibility of some more amazing tweets by Trump regarding the Democrats. I simply cannot wait!
