Charlotte, NC — Last week, the CDC released some new information about coronavirus that is concerning. It has absolutely nothing to do with the actual virus, but rather what people are doing in response to the virus. Bear with me, because this explains a lot about society today.
In the CDC data, 39% of respondents said they had engaged in high-risk practices to prevent the spread of COVID-19. What are some of those practices? The CDC describes them as “washing food products with bleach, applying household cleaning or disinfectant products to bare skin, and intentionally inhaling or ingesting these products.”
One-quarter of respondents said they had some sort of negative health effects with the improper practices. Some said that they had placed chemicals on their skin, others inhaled cleaning chemicals, while some ingested the chemicals. As you read this information, all you can say is wow.
The fear that the mainstream media has established over the coronavirus is absolutely absurd. Yes, we should take the virus seriously. Yes, we should maintain precautions and be smart. The key part of this is to be smart.
As a conservative, I often ask myself how people could possibly go along with socialism. This certainly explains a lot. Labels of cleaning chemicals and materials very clearly say that you should not inhale, injest, or many other things with their products.
It seems we live in a society where common sense has completely went away. In a society that once took pride in working hard and accomplishing goals, it is now expected that everything is given to you for free. We once lived in a country where people were able to think somewhat logically and form a sound opinion. Now, society will simply believe anything they are told.
The left is pushing radical ideas that we would have never considered in our country 50 years ago. The thoughts of disbanding police, relying on the government, and giving away freedom would have never been acceptable. As conservatives, it’s imperative that we remain strong and continue to do our part to educate those around us.
