Alberta, Canada — A video was posted on Saturday showing the arrest of Pastor Artur Pawlowski and his brother Dawid Pawlowski after holding church service at the Cave of Adullam Church in the City of Calgary in Alberta, Canada.
The Calgary Police Service (CPS) released a statement that the police were using an Alberta Health Services court order from the Court of Queen’s Bench that was obtained for an unrelated event outside of Calgary. That order, obtained on Thursday, was in relations to a pro-liberty protest at Whistle Stop Café in Mirror, Alberta.
The CPS statement claims it “lawfully enforced this order by proactively serving an organizer of a church service.” The statement continues that the “order was served prior to the church service” and the “service organizer acknowledged the injunction, but chose to ignore requirements for social distancing, mask wearing and reduced capacity limits for attendees, and continued with the event.”
CPS states that “in the midst of a global pandemic” it will not protect the rights of the people.
Pawlowski has faced threats from the government dating back to at least last April for not submitting to dictates from the Canadian bureaucracies and Justin Trudeau, Canada’s prime minister.
In the arrest video, neither Artur or Dawid Pawlowski resist arrest nor aided the “gestapo psychopaths,” as Artur Pawlowski called them. Artur began the recording and an unnamed individual continued it once the Pawlowski’s were in custody.
The unnamed individual is heard at one point asking “did you just get off the boat from China, the airplane from China,” referencing the similarities of the Canadian government to the Chinese Communist Party. One of the “gestapo psychopaths” responds by showing concerns for one of his fellow “gestapo psychopath’s” feelings over the rights of the Pawlowski’s as he warns the unnamed individual to stop because one of the CPS officers is Korean.
Similarly in America, multiple pastors have been arrested or fined for not submitting to authoritarian executive orders as have many liberty activists. On Friday, patriot Garth Gaylord was arrested in from of the Ada County Courthouse in Idaho for not submitting to wear a face mask while attending a court appearance.
Bundy notes that this tyranny is happening in a Idaho, a state that’s supposed to be “the home of the rugged individual,” but dozens of people have been arrested in the state for simply attending public government meetings. He notes that the authoritarian rule is happening across America as “almost all the states still today still have governor executive full control in it.”
The government in America has targeted religious liberty for over a year now. Bundy noted something he learned, after he subpoenaed Ada County, about his church being targeted in April of 2020.
“They showed a full thread of emails that they had to disclose to me… where the top law enforcement officers of county and the cities and the state were plotting to raid and arrest us in April for having our Easter service, during our Easter service,” Bundy said.
Bundy added: “Imagine that, that they’re planning and literally plotting among themselves and emailing each other with the FBI, including the FBI joint terrorism task force, where they’re communicating and plotting on how they are going to raid this Easter service and arrest people. That’s amazing to think about. The right to worship where, when and how, that protected right by our Constitution was just thrown out the window. I mean, what were these people thinking that they thought in some way that they could raid a church service on Easter and somehow that was justifiable by the law?”
