Charlotte, NC — “For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb.”—Psalm 139:13
Life begins at conception. Abortion is the unjust taking of a life. Abortion is murder. It’s really that simple.
The Texas Heartbeat Act went into effect and of course the left went crazy while the right rejoiced. Tucker Carlson illustrated the utter hypocrisy of the left decrying this law screaming “my body, my choice” while sheepishly obeying mask mandates.
The act has been touted or decried, depending on which side of the debate one is on, as the “most restrictive” abortion law in the land. National Review reports that “85 percent of abortions” occur after the stage when a heartbeat is detected, and what makes Texas’ bill different is it’s “exclusively enforced through private lawsuits in state court.”
So, will 85 percent of unborn babies scheduled for death at the hands of a hired assassin be spared by this law? Well, we’ll have to wait and see. I certainly hope so, but my prediction is that if we look at the abortion rates in Texas as long as this act is in place, there’ll be no noticeable difference. Beyond that, there’s no justice with this act.
The pro-murder crowd, the appropriate term for supporters of abortion, is taking advantage. Headlines have come out stating scheduled assassinations are being cancelled. That should come as no surprise because it is good for the fundraising efforts of the merchants of death.
The left is fearmongering now that this Texas act will create vigilante pro-lifers, a ludicrous claim on so many levels. To file a civil suit will require cause of action meaning there’s a limited amount of people who actually would be able to sue abortionists.
As several lawyers told an ABC affiliate in Austin, Texas, every privacy protection is still in place meaning it will be very hard to gather evidence. Chelsey Youman, of Human Coalition Action, said it’s likely to only “be the unborn child’s father who knows that there was an abortion conducted and he’s sad he lost a child” who will be able to sue. Certainly, that’s a positive that fathers may have more of a say in the process than our depraved society thinks they should have currently, but then again, most fathers of aborted babies are just as complicit in the act as everyone else.
There’s a fatal flaw with this, and all heartbeat bills, and it relies on abortionists to tell the truth.
A real nurse, one who protects life, illustrated how easy it is to get around this while performing an ultrasound. She said: “Babies with beating hearts are able to be seen as early as six weeks, but an abortion facility is not going to take the effort or take the time or do the ultrasound accurately to find that heartbeat that early on. They’re in the business of killing babies. They’re not in the business of finding heartbeats, of being honest and saving that baby’s life.”
“So, these pro-life pieces of legislation, these ultrasound bills and even the heartbeat bills, how it’s advertised it’s going to save 90 to 95 percent of babies with beating hearts, absolutely a lie. It’s not true. We’re trusting murderers to tell the truth,” the nurse added.
As for the Texas bill, it’s illustrative of everything that’s wrong with the so-called pro-life movement. In March, State Rep. Bryan Slaton filed a bill to provide equal protection for unborn children while criminalizing the act of abortion, but it was the pro-life industry, not the left, that defeated it. Instead, pro-life groups want to regulate abortion, not criminalize it. In fact, the pro-life industry goes to great lengths to distance themselves from God.
Pastor Jeff Durbin, founder of End Abortion Now, has been involved in efforts to criminalize abortion in several states all of which have been resisted by the pro-life industry.
“The law of the Lord is the answer here, the law of God,” Durbin told a crowd supporting Slaton’s bill. “You’ve heard it here already, abortion is murder. We need to be honest about that, and interestingly this shows how we can be so indoctrinated by our culture that when in the space of about 50 years with Roe vs. Wade we have believers who love Jesus who are afraid to say that because the pro-life industry has taught them not to. We’ll never end abortion if we’re not honest about abortion.”
Durbin added: “It is the pro-life industry that has fought against all of these. The pro-choice movement barely needed to lift a finger.”
The problem is we have spineless, feckless “leaders” who are beholden to corrupt courts rather than doing what’s right. This Texas act wasn’t even ruled constitutional by the Supreme Court. The court simply just didn’t act and punted the issue for a future date.
So-called “law enforcement” officials across the country have vowed not to enforce anti-abortion laws. Think about this, “law enforcement” in Texas will tackle elderly women and treat them like criminals for not wearing a mask, without a single law in place to require masks be worn by the way, but you can murder unborn babies and only face at most a civil suit. “Law enforcement” will violate the First Amendment and abortionists can pull guns on Christians, but they won’t enforce laws that criminalize the murder of the unborn.
America is in a moral free fall. And consider this, over half of Catholics believe abortion should be legal according to a 2020 Pew Research poll, and the Christian Post reported in 2019 that only 25 percent of Evangelicals believe abortion should be illegal.
We now live in a time where child sacrifice is accepted, and what will be the consequence of that? Like those sacrificing their children to Molech on the altar of Baal (Jeremiah 32:35) and the “prophets prophesy lies, the priests rule by their own authority” (Jeremiah 5:31), Jeremiah 11:11 warns: “Therefore, this is what the LORD says: ‘I will bring on them a disaster they cannot escape. Although they cry out to Me, I will not listen to them.’”
Abortion is murder, and murder is a criminal act. To treat it as a civil act means there is no justice. It’s time to get serious about abortion or accept God’s judgment.
