As you know, Florida is getting pummeled by Hurricane Ian, and our thoughts and prayers go out to them today. I know I have said several prayers today for those amazing patriots.
Here’s the latest on the storm from Wesh: Hurricane Ian made landfall in Florida as a dangerous Category 4 hurricane Wednesday afternoon.
Ian came ashore near Cayo Costa, Florida, with winds of 150 mph.
As of the 7 p.m. advisory, Hurricane Ian was moving north-northeast at 8 mph and winds had slowed slightly to 125 mph. It was located 25 miles northeast of Punta Gorda, Florida, and 100 miles south-southwest of Orlando.
The storm is expected to cause life-threatening storm surge, catastrophic winds and flooding in the Florida peninsula. The National Weather Service warned “conditions will deteriorate tonight.”
“The threat of significant to catastrophic flooding is expected to develop tonight and into Thursday for areas from North Osceola and North Brevard, including metro Orlando. Flooding can be especially dangerous at night,” the NWS said.
“Conditions will deteriorate tonight. TS to hurricane force winds are expected. The threat of significant to catastrophic flooding is expected to develop tonight-Thu for areas from N Osceola & N Brevard north including metro Orlando. Flooding can be especially dangerous at night.”

This is really scary stuff, and I know a lot of people are stressed, worried, and hoping to God they don’t lose everything.
Our hearts are with them.
But one thing I will say about Floridians, is they are resilient fighters, and they don’t back down. They can make the best of even the worse situations… and that’s exactly what this Trump supporter did.
He took advantage of the high winds and went and got his F**K JOE BIDEN flag and let it rip.
What a hero and a patriot this guy is.

Good lord, those are high winds, aren’t they?
The good news is that as it moves farther across land, it’s losing power. It’s now been downgraded from a Cat 4 to a Cat 3. Still very dangerous, but better.
Orlando Sentinel reported that as of 7 p.m., Ian’s center had moved inland about 25 miles from Punta Gorda and 100 miles south-southwest of Orlando with sustained winds down to 125 mph, still a Category 3 hurricane, moving north-northeast at 8 mph. Hurricane-force winds extend out 50 miles with tropical-storm-force winds extending out 175 miles.
A University of Florida Coastal Monitoring Program wind tower recently reported sustained winds of 64 mph with a wind gust of 104 mph. A private weather station near Port Charlotte reported a sustained wind of 115 mph with a wind gust of 132 mph as Ian made landfall on the mainland Florida peninsula.
The updated consensus track keeps Ian a Category 1 hurricane south of Lakeland by 2 a.m. Thursday with 85 mph winds and 105 mph gusts, and then down to a tropical storm with 65 mph winds by Thursday afternoon after passing through Orange and Seminole counties parked near Florida’s East Coast in Volusia.
Here’s what people online had to say about our flag-waving hero:
