On Monday, the U.N. held a meeting regarding climate change. Greta Thunberg, a 16 year old Swedish teen, was present and gave a speech to the crowd. Liberals all around have heralded her “courage” to stand and call out world leaders on climate change.
In her statements, Thunberg stated that the world leaders have stolen her childhood and her dreams. She implied the leaders should be ashamed for having “come to young people for hope.” Thunberg, speaking as a climate change expert, did not say anything new in her statements, she simply was condemning world leaders. She continued that people are dying and she is one of the lucky ones.
Many media outlets reported Trump would not be present for the climate change summit days ago. Trump did attend the summit, but was not present the entire time. Obviously, President Trump saw thought the sham that was the climate change summit today. Presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke obviously took issue with Trump not attending the full session.

While President Trump may have seen through the political stunt, other US leaders did not. Many leaders spoke out in support of Thunberg and her statements. Democratic representative Adam Schiff tweeted out the support for Thunberg below.

In the end, how can we believe Thunberg or any of these other “climate change experts” seeing as how nothing in climate change has come true. If they were so concerned about the environment, they certainly didn’t show it with their actions on Monday. Images all across social media showed the exact opposite.
Climate change activists were dancing in the streets shooting litter across the streets in celebration of the day. The activists were all carrying plastic water bottles, which is endangering our environment. There’s even video of sticky paper notes all across Rep. AOC’s office. How was this waste of paper and littering saving the environment?
The fact is nothing that these climate change activists have implied would come true, has come true. We were told in 2007 that the polar ice cap would melt by Al Gore. The ice cap is still present and has not melted as suggested. Now AOC and the left would tell us that if we do not pass the Green New Deal and eliminate all methane released by cows, we will die in 12 years. Why should we believe them?
Sure, I believe we must care for the environment and be responsible. Being responsible with recycling and eliminating waste as possible, does not mean that we are doomed to die. Electric vehicles mine materials that are just as negative toward the environment as fossil fuels. Those same materials are used in cell phones and other devices. So if AOC and the left want to save the planet, maybe they can get rid of their cell phones, electric vehicles and she can call out the hypocrisy of those who covered her office with those sticky notes.
