As we’ve been writing and taking about for some time, the media and left have it out for President Trump. Sunday was no different with the non-stop articles about how horrible Trump is and even more whistleblowers that are coming. Whistleblowers seem to be coming out as quickly as Kavanaugh accusers.
Then, the media started predicting Trump’s next actions. This should not be surprising, but it is quite entertaining. It all started with an Axios article that Trump was concerned about his legacy facing impeachment. Some have suggested recently that Trump would welcome articles of impeachment. The writer at Axios suggests that secretly, Trump is concerned about impeachment and it’s effect on his legacy.
While the article makes its suggestions, Trump’s actions and statements made in the private phone call say otherwise. President Trump is bracing for a fight, as we have suggested. He has been aggressive in his response to Democrats recently. As the article cites, his ambition is to win the House back as he wins reelection next year. So while he may not want impeachment on his resume, he does appear to be prepared for the fight.
In another article, CNN had an interview with a former Trump Organization member named Barbara Res. In the interview, Res suggested that she believes President Trump will resign rather than face impeachment. Res said she was hesitant to share her opinion as she may be wrong, but that did not stop CNN from running with the statements.
This is not the first time Res has been critical of Trump. The former VP of Construction has had multiple interviews where she was highly critical of President Trump, even calling him a snowflake. No doubt the left wing media has enjoyed each interview, they seem to drool at the thought of an interview critical of Trump.
The tables may be soon to turn however, as Trump and Republican leaders are pressing for a formal vote on impeachment. Lindsay Graham has been pressing on Trump’s behalf. Today, he suggested that the whistleblower will have to testify and lose anonymity. He also indicated that Rep. Adam Schiff will be forced to testify.
In voting for an official impeachment inquiry, Republicans will call witnesses and be able to investigate as well. I believe this is concerning for Democrats. This could be the reason for their delay in the vote. Republicans must continue to force pressure on the Democrats to vote. Nancy Pelosi needs to initiate this vote or stop the circus.
The House appears committed to impeaching Trump for any reason they can justify. Trump will feel confident knowing that the Senate will not convict him if impeached. The President also seems confident in the impeachment’s support of his reelection.
While he may surprise everyone, I do not expected that President Trump will resign. Trump has a lot of pride in his work as President and wants to do more. This is not the most challenging situation that President Trump has ever faced in his career. As it appears now, I believe he will not only stick it out, but come out the winner on the other side.
