The Democrats continue to live in some sort of virtual reality regarding President Trump. Yesterday, I wrote about how the impeachment inquiry continues, even though most Americans are not interested. The polls show that the majority of Americans have already decided how they feel. The division is along party lines and the poll suggests that nothing from the inquiry will change that.
The Democrats and their media henchmen have finally come to this conclusion and are deciding to now attack Republicans. I know this has to be surprising. The reason? The fact that Republicans will not change their mind. Yes, Democrats are complaining that Republicans are not considering the “evidence” to impeach Trump.
Yet, exactly what evidence are they referring to? I mean, we have heard this story so many times from the left. Think back to their hurry up and don’t ask questions mentality. We saw this with the Affordable Care Act, where the legislation was passed without anyone having time to read it. There’s no reason to be concerned it’s for the best right?
This continued with attacks since on various people on the right. Most notably, it happened with Brett Kavanaugh. You recall those hearings where we were told we “must believe Blasey Ford” because she’s a victim. This accuser did not know the place or time of the assault, nor did she have any witnesses or evidence. Yet, we must believe her because she is believable.
Then we had the Mueller report. The report and subsequent testimony we were told would show evidence that Trump colluded with Russia and was worthy to be impeached. They pushed this narrative for months, without any evidence. After the release of the report, Democrats were embarrassed because there was nothing there. Adam Schiff himself pushed and pushed the narrative of evidence, when there was none.
Now, we have the Trump impeachment inquiry. Democrats want to claim quid pro quo. We’ve all heard their narrative switch to bribery, since that is the only thing they think they can convince the public on. Yet, there’s no evidence of bribery. Today, the left wing media was reporting admission of a quid pro quo by a witness. The statement may have been made in regards to the assistance, but there is no evidence that President Trump requested it.
As I have said before, President Trump released the call notes and there is no evidence he indicated funds were being withheld. In fact, Ukraine has even said they were not aware the funds were being held for any reason. It’s hard to say that there is evidence of bribery when there was no indication that bribery was suggested. It’s just the latest in the long list of “believe us it’s there” claims by the Democrats.
I’m reminded of a story I heard when I was younger. It was an Aesop fable about the boy who cried wolf. You may recall that the little boy cried out for help multiple times due to a wolf, but after two false claims no one came to help when he really needed it. The Democrats have cried wolf so many times that no one is believing anything they say.
The Democrats virtual reality must really be a great place for them. They hate President Trump so much, they want to believe there is anything there. The left is holding to any glimmer of hope they can. In the end, they are losing. Losing the confidence of the American voters, confidence of Democratic base and the confidence that they can do anything to help our country.
