On Saturday, the LA Times ran an article that had the story of Del Paso Manor Elementary School. In the article, we are told about how Magali Kincaid had went to volunteer for an art docent program at the school. Apparently, Kincaid led a class about activism including topics such as Black Lives Matters, immigration and housing rights.
The school district is being sued by the ACLU over the events following the class by Kincaid. After Kincaid taught the class to students regarding the activism subjects, the students were to create artwork that showcased changes they wanted to see in their school. Rather than creating such art, the students created artwork that contained Black Lives Matters topics and of people holding signs depicting the same.
The students were forced to make new artwork after the teacher determined that it was not appropriate. Now the lawsuit claims that first amendment rights violations occurred and that students were illegally punished. Yet, no one has brought up the fact that the students were being force fed activism.
But the story gets better. The LA Times states they researched the Kincaid and did not give much information about her. So I decided to do my own research into this Ms Kincaid. I found a page on Facebook for this individual in the same school district where she is listed as a political candidate. Imagine, all across her page is activism rather than a real focus on education.
Kincaid was running for school board in the district. In 2018, Kincaid finished 4th in the election for school board. Apparently, she was too busy advocating for Medicare for All, LGBTQ rights and Black Lives Matters. The Facebook page contains pro-Democrat propaganda and the manager of the site is listed as having left negative reviews on a Republican Facebook page.
The principle stood up to the activism in the school stating that the posters were political and not educational. The program was an education program and should have contained information as such. But that does not matter to the ACLU or Democrats. Kincaid was only interested in promoting her propaganda to help brainwash these kids to support the cause.
According to the schools website, students in the 2nd through 6th grades are served by the school. These students are not even teenagers and are being force fed activist garbage. When the students should be focused on learning math, science or deciding what they want to be when they grow up, they are being taught how to create activist propaganda.
The left is quick to complain about anyone on the conservative side doing anything that resembles activism. The left has long attacked any attempts at conservative groups led by any religious organization from entering a school for any purpose. Liberals line up for hours to protest conservatives such as Ben Shapiro or Candace Owens. How would they feel if they desired to present in one of these art docent programs?
The left can argue that they are not indoctrinating the children as part of education, but this continues to prove it’s the case. A child should be able to go to school and learn, not be force fed this liberal propaganda. Yet, the school is now going to be forced to apologize and allow it to happen to appease the left and avoid the lawsuit. It’s just a continuation of the culture war I discussed in this weeks podcast.
