Unless you are living under a rock, it should be obvious that the left simply does not care. Well, they care, but only about progressive policies and followers. They have set their clear agenda on socialist progressive policies and are not turning back. None of this is probably surprising to you as you read this.
As you consider the actions they are taking with impeachment, they prove they simply do not care what the majority of American’s think. They will argue that “half” of American’s support impeachment. But what about the half that do not? There’s no attempt to find a middle ground or to reach across the aisle. It is a “my way or hit the road” type of mentality from the left.
Impeachment is not all however. Take this article from New York that talks about are moderate voters worth the hassle. In essence, the writer suggests that if you are not a progressive, you are simply not worth their time. You are not worth working with or talking to. The author says in the end that Democrats should lead, but not follow swing voters. The left is willing to walk away from any American who does not agree with them.
Swing voters have long driven US policy. Since 2000, all but one of our elections (Obama’s initial term) were decided by 3% of voters. This shows how divided our country is. Swing voters are key to winning the election. Yet, this author suggests that it’s not very important to consider them or the opposing viewpoint.
I’ve argued the fact many times that we are all Americans and we all have issues in this country. Recent polls show some of those concerns are illegal immigration, healthcare, the economy and national security are issues that are of concerns to citizens. So while Democrats are focused on Trump, Republicans must take the lead on these issues.
I think there is a compromise that can be reached on immigration. We have room to work on healthcare. The economy is roaring and Republicans must capitalize on it. It’s time to put out conservative policies that will show American’s the solution is not government. But as we do that, we must not forget about those moderate voters.
These people are American and have an opinion. Some of them like the progressive policies and consideration must be given to that. The proper approach is not “my way or hit the road” as the Democrats have taken. While we must stick to our morals and convictions, we must educate and provide a clear path forward to unite.
The Democrats will cry unity until Election Day. Their lie of acceptance should be exposed. They are the party of division. Their cancel culture solution is to just do away with anyone that disagrees. Now is the time for conservatives to step up and lead, without alienating those moderates.
