On February 28, Denver City Councilwoman, Candi CdeBaca, was slammed with calls for her resignation for infamously posting a tweet that flirted with the idea of attending Make America Great Again rallies to infect Trump supporters with the coronavirus.
This dishonorable Dem tweeted “#solidarity Yaaas!!” in her February 28 response to a February 26 post from another Dem named Susan Daniel who tweeted, “For the record, if I do get the coronavirus I’m attending every MAGA rally I can.”
Democrat Denver Councilwoman Candi CdeBaca says that she stands in "solidarity" with someone who says that they if they get the coronavirus that they will attend as many Trump rallies as possible

The Denver councilwoman’s office issued a statement saying her reply was “sarcastic” after swift backlash from thousands who were outraged. Additionally, the Colorado Republican Part called on her to resign. Her statement reads: “Counsilwoman CdeBaca made a sarcastic tweet on twitter to call attention to the Trump administration’s downplaying of the Coronavirus outbreak as a ‘hoax’ no more dangerous than the common flu.”
These tweets are a reflection of how the Left views and feels about those on the Right. Any tweet this vile and reprehensible, whether from the Right or the Left is equally reprehensible and should not be tolerated! We must be better if we are to expect better.
The late Pulitzer Prize winning writer and political commentator, Charles Krauthammer, once stated, “Every two years the American politics industry fills the airwaves with the most virulent, scurrilous, wall-to-wall character assassination of nearly every political practitioner in the country – and then declares itself puzzled that America has lost trust in politicians.”
Sadly, Charles was wrong. It’s not just politicians. The MSM is a huge contributor! Many MSM outlets condemn the President’s rhetoric and often call for it to be toned down, but their very next sentence has often compared the President and/or his supporters as Hitler and Nazis. What was once seen during election cycles has now become part of our daily lives.
The internet, social media included, is a cauldron of anger every day, every year, election year or not. Both of these tweets are reprehensible and are the absolute worst part of our current political climate.
When did we stop seeing each other as people? Fellow travelers in life? All people want to do is provide for themselves and their family, raise their kids in a safe environment where they attend excellent schools and are able to have the hope for a brighter future.
In his most recent book entitled The Right Side of History: How Reason and Moral Purpose Made the West Great, author Ben Shapiro states, “We are more divided than at any time in the recent past. We don’t live in a perfect world, but we do live in the best world that has ever existed.”
It’s up to us to hold on to it and it’s up to us, ALL of us, to make it the best we possibly can for the future but also for today.
