The left simply cannot let go. Well, that’s how it appears anyway. From Brett Kavanaugh to Hillary Clinton, the left is convinced they were right. Convinced Kavanaugh was guilty, convinced Clinton is President. Time and time again they are proven to be wrong.
I sat down this morning to read through some articles and came across this one at The Hill by Rebecca Klar. In the article, Klar states that the Kavanaugh hearings still have a cloud over DC. Obviously, abortion was a topic that she brought up. She talks about how the events and suggests it is causing reelection issues for some Republicans. One could potentially draw some of these assumptions from the events, but that was not what caught my attention.
In the article, it’s suggested that Kavanaugh was a bad selection because Gorsuch was approved easily. Klar conveniently left out that Gorsuch’s position was not a decisive vote however. Even with Gorsuch, the liberal agenda had majority support due to Justice Kennedy. So the issues were not Kavanaugh as a candidate necessarily.
The article continues to discuss how Kavanaugh was a divisive candidate because of the sexual assault allegations against him. The writer simply fails as a journalist in this remark as they fail to call out that the accusations have proven to be unfounded. The media continues to push these stories, one year later, as the truth. I mean, everyone must be believed at all costs right?
That’s the story the media gives anyway. They continue pushing these false narratives every week. How long do we need to hear about how the election was “stolen” from Clinton and that Trump is an illegitimate President? Yet, we continue to hear it each week. In the past week, Clinton herself joined back in on this one.
The media pushes the same narrative on Russia as well. Just this week, the New Yorker ran a piece that said all of Trump’s issues stem from Russia. The Mueller report did not give Democrats what they were seeking. Still, they need to tie this Ukraine situation to it.
If Democrats want to improve their standing with Americans, they need to tie the Mueller report to this or be successful in the impeachment. I do not believe they will be successful either way. As they continue to go down the impeachment path, I can see them trying to build an all-encompassing case against Trump.
In the end, I believe they will fail. Not just fail in impeachment, but fail in defeating President Trump in 2020. They will fail because they cannot let go of things. They cannot accept a defeat or an opposing viewpoint. In their attempts to appeal to the radical, Democrats have abandoned the logical.
